Civil War on the Upper Gulf Coast
Kenneth Grubb is the Department Chair for History and Geography and an Instructor of History at Wharton County Junior College. Before coming to the academy, Grubb spent a decade working in public history at the San Jacinto Battleground/Battleship TEXAS State Historic Site. During his time at San Jacinto, Grubb educated visitors from around the world, lent his expertise to several documentaries and films, and oversaw the design and implementation of new exhibitions and interpretation.
Since coming to academic history, Grubb has taught at both the public school and collegiate levels. He has an undergraduate degree in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from University of Houston-Clear Lake where he studied mass media and political rhetoric, and a master’s degree in U.S. History for which he focused his research on 20th century military history and social discourse.
