John S. Huntington

Religion, Racism, and Equality in the Last Half of Twentieth Century Houston

John Huntington is a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Houston under the direction of Dr. Nancy Beck Young. His dissertation in progress, tentatively titled “Radical Redemption: The Far-Right Influence on Modern Conservatism,” examines the influence of ultraconservative political ideologies within the rise of modern conservatism in the 1950s and 1960s. Huntington has presented additional research at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations and the Mid-America Conference on History.
