Chris Haight

A Troubled Relationship: Gay Houstonians and the Police

Christopher Haight is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Houston, where he studies social movements, particularly the movements for African American and LGBT civil rights. His dissertation examines the history of racist and anti-LGBT violence and grassroots and policy responses to hate crime in Texas. He earned his M.A. in History from the University of Houston and his B.A. in Political Science from Gannon University.
